Huawei Y6 smartphone review
The delivery set is standard: a power supply unit, a USB / micro-USB cable, a clip for removing a SIM card, instructions, and – which was especially pleasing – there was a proprietary protective film in the box. However, when I tried to stick it on the screen, she went in such large bubbles that I had to throw it into the bin. This is the first time I encountered such a low-quality film. It would be better if they put a silicone case. There are no branded headphones in the kit, as the model is positioned as inexpensive and saved on everything.
Rarely in the state budget can you see a claim to the original design, but here it is. The back cover is made of plastic, but it looks like black leather with stitching. I will not list the technical characteristics, but I note that the Huawei Y6 sample regarding quite at the level of a smartphone of a budget price category, with a small reserve for the future. The only thing that 32 GB of internal memory is not enough these days. But there is always the opportunity to add up to 512 GB by purchasing an SD card.
The device itself is not made in the now fashionable frameless style. There are no frames at the top and sides, but it is at the bottom, and there is no physical button on it. The tray consists of three compartments – two nano-SIM and a place for a flashcard. The 6.09-inch IPS display has a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio and a 1560 x 720-pixel matrix, with good viewing angles, an acceptable margin of brightness and a 2.5D protective glass. Indirect sunlight, the picture is distinguishable, but not to say that it was excellent.
The audibility of the speaker over the display is normal, at least the subscribers hear me well. The external speaker is monaural, located on the right at the bottom. The sound quality is normal, no wheezing was noticed at full volume. On the left is a microphone under the same symmetrical notch, and exactly in the middle is micro-USB. You can unlock Huawei Y6 with a fingerprint (the sensor is on the back of the case) or with your physiognomy. And it seemed to me that with the help of a face sensor it turns out more confident and quicker. The battery capacity of 3020 mAh is enough for the whole working day. The quality of Full HD video and photos of both cameras suits me.
By default, you can find a certain amount of preinstalled Russian software, which is not surprising. By the way, the FM radio application works without headphones, which I have not seen before since in most smartphones a wired headset is used as an antenna.
I’m not a gamer, but I installed World of Tanks Blitz for my son. Settings had to be set to medium, and nothing seems to slow down. The picture, of course, is not perfect, without additional graphics effects, but there are no friezes and you can play. If there is free time, then why not, not even in the best quality. For the avid gamers of Huawei Y6 (2019), I would not recommend it, since there is no gaming potential here. Of the relative minuses, I would note the absence of NFC here. I don’t use it, but for buyers, it can be a little disappointing.
At the moment, the model suits me perfectly. Despite minor flaws, I am satisfied with the purchase after four months of operation. The smartphone Huawei Y6, of course, is not so much for demanding users as for practical ones. I should have enough potential for the future, and maybe for 2021.
